Bristol Sonics enjoyed their own “Super Saturday” at Clifton last weekend, coming from behind to stun Conference League 3 leaders Hemel Stags 19-8 at Clifton RFC.The Sonics, who began the day rock bottom of the Conference League 3 table, delivered a near faultless defensive performance to edge out Championship One-bound Hemel and record their third straight victory after 11 losses on the bounce.Bristol’s victory was all the more impressive given that they’d lost two key players, England Students centre Marcus Brooker and hard working second row Matt Douglas, to serious injuries midway through the first half.
