Volunteer recruitment

No amateur sports clubs could exist without the hard work and dedication of its team of volunteers and volunteer recruitment is every bit as important as player recruitment for the Sonics.

Volunteering can be extremely rewarding, allowing anyone to get involved with one of Bristol ’s leading sports club and put something back into the community. Experience or qualifications are not essential for most roles as training can be provided if required. All you need is ENTHUSIASM! The Sonics’ policies for volunteer recruitment and retention can be found in the Club Management Manual which can be downloaded here.

We are always on the look-out for new volunteers regardless of how much time you will be able to commit to the club. Typical roles are:

Coaches (Open Age & Academy)

  • Club Secretary
  • Club Treasurer
  • Membership managers (Open Age & Academy)
  • Clubmark Coordinator
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Club Welfare Officer
  • Matchday Managers
  • Kit Manager
  • Matchday Photographer

Alternatively we can develop a role to match your experience or expectations. Any reasonable expenses incurred whilst carrying out volunteer roles for the club will be reimbursed.
