Bristol Sonics will celebrate a successful 2010 season with a special party and club awards ceremony at Caffe Gusto Siesta on Whiteladies Road, Bristol, this Saturday (25 September).
Players, fans and club officials will gather at the Whiteladies Road branch of sponsors Caffe Gusto from 6pm on Saturday to look back on the 2010 season, which saw the Sonics’ first team reach the Grand Final of the Cooperative Rugby League Conference Midlands Premier competition, and a debut outing for the club’s new Academy youth section.
2010 has been a memorable year for Bristol’s only Rugby League club, with the formation of a second team, the launch of the Bristol Sonics Academy youth section and the delivery of a successful secondary schools coaching programme – the first to ever take place in the West’s biggest city. 2010 also saw the Sonics play in the BARLA National Cup – the only club from the south of England to do so.
