Bristol Sonics have confirmed their 2008 programme of fixtures by revealing that they will open their 2008 West Midlands Rugby League Conference campaign with a match against Telford Raiders.
This match will be a significant challenge for the Sonics as they bid for the West Midlands crown: Telford have three amateur internationals in their ranks and a wealth of experience in the Rugby League Conference Midlands Premier Division.
Whilst the 2008 season’s opener on 10th May represents an interesting challenge for the Sonics, the inclusion of RLC newcomers Swindon St George adds an unknown quantity to the 2008 season.
The rest of the West Midlands division has a familiar look, with the Sonics squaring up to bitter rivals Oxford Cavaliers, Coventry Bears A, Wolverhampton Wizards and Redditch Ravens.
